Iridium is mostly found in meteorites. The metal with atomic number 77 gives its name to this waterproof motorcycle jacket with its clean, black, urban, naked bike look.
’The dark side of Japan' and the MT-07 are close by, just like the short, checkered streetfighters with various engine capacities or hyper nakeds that lend themselves perfectly to the hooligan riding style. Of course, you shouldn't be doing that in a touring jacket or - god forbid - a lumberjack shirt. No, you need a black, sporty and very clean look, and that's what the Iridium H2O provides.
The Iridium H2O consists of Softshell 3L and abrasion-resistant Ribstop 3L, which also says something about its waterproofness. This is a full-fledged motorcycle jacket with a very high level of protection, even though it all feels soft. The 'padding' that covers almost the entire front of this jacket, certainly has something to do with that. The integrated Hydratex|mesh G-liner - also the reason why the H2O is rightly mentioned in the name - is non-removable. The thermal lining is removable and then you know that the use of this jacket is very wide. Summer to winter and everything in between, as long as you don't seek out the fiercest extremes, this jacket will go a long way. The wind comes in through partial perforation and comes out again at the back.
Everything is black. Tough. Tone on tone black, with an eye for detail, because the different materials provide enough nuances to still be striking. The removable hood also fits into this train of thought: flexibility, details, variety.
The external TPU shoulder protector adds a sporty touch. REV'IT calls it Urban Techwear, but an urban motorcycle race jacket like this one could fit into any number of categories. You'll always be safe: the Iridium H2O features a pair of SEESMART™ CE Level 1 protectors on the shoulders and elbows. These excel in wearing comfort and flexible sophistication. Those who find it necessary can easily add a SEESOFT RV or SEESOFT Air CE back protector. The reflective material is subtle (during the day for sure!) but definitely present.
Two zippered side pockets provide a bit of storage space, and you'll find an additional inner pocket in the thermal liner.
The belt loops as a combination option with a good pair of motorcycle jeans are obvious, although you can also work through the short connecting zipper and, for example, the Safeway.
There is maintenance clothing and then there is clothing maintenance. Good, solid motorcycle clothing is an investment in comfort and personal safety. So invest in its maintenance after your purchase and enjoy your gear for longer.
