This Action H2O builds further on the Traction and is just as impossible to place in one category as its predecessor. The reflecting panels (yes indeed!) are new and show that a lot of technical luggage is hidden inside.
The style is a bit more aggressive. More angular, tighter. With the shoulder sliders and a racing cut, the Action H2O remains a sporty inspired 'urban sports' motorcycle jacket. It's also summery because it's fully ventilated. But there's just as much removable hydratex|Lite membrane, which provides waterproofing. Protection is at a high level and at the same time it's light as a feather.
An odd duck, still. The base material (100% polyester) is hardwearing and tear-resistant, yet lightweight and fully ventilated. Odd for those who expect a motorcycle jacket to feel like armor. It doesn’t. The shoulders are made of stretch material at the back and the rib knit at the bottom adds a hint of 'bomber' to the overall style and look. Most striking - especially at dusk and dawn - are the large reflective panels on the chest, upper arms and back. During the day they are not conspicuous - and certainly in the urban context where this Action H2O is at home, they are an added value.
There is more than enough protection. The SEESMART™ CE Level 1 protectors on the shoulders and elbows are standard and whoever wants to can easily fit a SEESOFT™ RV orSEESOFT™ Air CE back protector, and SEESOFT™ chest protector. The thin, flexible impact protectors fit perfectly with the style of the Action H2O and the body of the motorcyclist who wears it. The external TPU-shoulder protectors emphasize the sporty look of the Action H2O.
Adjustment options are limited. REV'IT! prefers to go for short, snug-fitting motorcycle jackets, which makes a hundred and one extra options often unnecessary. The upper arms can be tightened a little by means of a push button but waist, sleeve ends and collar are made of elastic material (bomber!) and that has of course the property that it always feels nice and tight. Storage options come in the form of two zippered side pockets and two inner pockets.
A connecting zipper is present, although the combination with a good pair of motorcycle jeans seems a logical choice. Hence the presence of a double elastic connection loop.
