The Cayenne 2 are motorcycle pants which, despite their sturdy and slightly rough appearance, still offer a lot of ventilation. An adventurer and a world traveler. But not a waterproof one.
Literally no waterproofing here: the Cayenne 2 - motorcycle jacket and pants - combination focuses on breathability and combines that with everything else that top level implies. But not waterproof properties.
Let us focus on what is there, though. The Cayenne 2 are motorcycle pants you use for specific reasons. Because you want to be safe and comfortable on the road. Because you value quality. Because you like a bit of adventure, but don't associate it with sweat.
The Cayenne 2 motorcycle pants are made of a combination of materials. The decisive factor is the role of Schoeller® dynatex mesh, the very abrasion-resistant and ventilating but still firm material on the thighs and at the back of the knee. It is here that riding wind gets free play. Reinforcement comes from PWR | Shell in 750D, another abrasion-resistant assurance, with which the rest of the Cayenne 2 is equipped. Besides these two main parts, other materials featured are parkskin (cowhide, inside knee, for more grip on the bike), stretch (lower back, knee), ripstop (wear resistant element n°3, on the waist and thighs), suregrip (anti-slip on the seat) and reflective details on the lower legs. It's an impressive cast and it leads to good results. Even without extra layers, membranes or lining.
The impact protection matches the overall quality: two SEEFLEX® knee protectors and as many SEESMART® hip protectors are standard. CE certified and yet never annoying, or too much of a "cup". Thin, good, flexible and ventilated, that's how we prefer our impact protectors.
Just like the jacket of the same name, these pants offer a range of extras and individual adjustment options. The waist is adjustable thanks to two straps. Note that the back of the Cayenne 2 is worked out high in order to remain extra comfortable for the wearer who endures the elements, leaning forward against the wind in a typical biker's position. The same strap returns just below the knee. At the bottom, REV'IT opts for plenty of velcro and a long vertical zipper to further facilitate easy entry (without lining, without membrane, and with relatively wide legs).
Two large cargo pockets on the thighs and two side pockets - all neat and easy to close - provide a lot of storage space. To close the Cayenne 2, REV'IT! uses the unique YKK sliding closure, which cannot open spontaneously.
The double connection zipper completely opens the door to any combination, although we have to say that the only correct choice in this case is still the Cayenne 2 motorcycle jacket.
