Strictly speaking, the Deola Lady by Modeka is not a pair of motorcycle jeans. These are leggings to safely (and legally) wear on your motorbike. Which feel very enjoyable.
It is a prerequisite of motorcycle clothing in general: you don’t wear it to sit around on the couch all day. But you could actually do that with the Deola Lady. Alright, it’s still a sizeable pair of pants and they won’t be able to hide between other leggings but as an alternative for a robust pair of motorcycle pants, Modeka has chosen a very interesting different route.
Not that any concessions were made. The Deola Lady might be elastic and stretchy, the (yellow) interior is almost completely lined with DuPont™ KEVLAR® ensuring a wear- and tear-resistant, strong construction. Add to that the ultrathin SAS-TEC-knee protectors and the result is a solid package that inspires confidence. If you want, you can even add a pair of hip protectors to the mix to be even more extensively equipped.
The cut is the way it should be: high-waist, therefore, finished high, and slim-fit is like saying ‘tight’ and ‘close-fitting’. Like leggings, there is no better way to describe it. They are elastic and the accordion strips above the knee facilitate sitting in the typical motorcycle sitting position.
There are belt loops and two slash pockets. Don’t expect the latter to be life-changing. Just like we don’t expect you to link these pants with waterproofness. Anyway, we think the Deola Lady is a nice alternative compared to (more) traditional motorcycle pants.
