The Macna Territor is to Macna motorcycle jackets what SUV is to Jeep: the urban, comfortable, softer version of the adventurer. Ideal to park in the city … Pardon, ideal to ride and flaunt in the city, in every season, with a removable membrane + thermal lining and wide ventilation openings.
The Territor is a rather – for Macna standards – short textile motorcycle jacket made of wear and tear resistant ripstop but also and mainly out of softshell. The latter creates the beautifully civilised SUV layer on top of this high-performance motorcycle jacket.
It’s outstanding how the Raintex® membrane and the thermal lining form one unit; the removable tandem makes this motorcycle jacket suitable for and adjustable to every season. This also implies that there are sufficient ventilation options: a ventilation zip on the upper arm, ventilation panels on the chest and an air outlet provide cooling qualities while the (removable) hood and the double, removable lining tend towards warmth. The usability of the Macna Territor is somewhere between those tangents. Possibly slightly more towards ‘cooler’.
In the category ‘technology’, we place the Belt Loop, the hoodie holder (no flapping and fluttering in the back), the Easy cuff (prevents goofing around with zips, press studs and motorcycle gloves at the sleeves) and the zip grip (easier to zip up). All of this results in the Macna Territor feeling… less like a motorcycle jacket. Lightweight, flexible, really very comfortable; a city dweller who enjoys cosying up with a drink downtown as much as it does going for a ride.
This opens up perspectives. The impact protection is level 1 elbow protection and level 1 shoulder protection of the flexible but noticeably present variant. This tells you you’re moving about with a motorcycle jacket around your shoulders. Definitely when you choose – it’s an option – to fit in a CE-certified back protector.
The Territor has a couple of individual adjustment options: Velcro on the sleeve ends and the waist are the main ones. With two slash pockets and a couple of storage compartments on the inside, you are equipped with all the storage space you’ll need in a city context – without overdoing it.
The belt loop is self-explanatory: proper motorcycle jeans trousers are what’s needed to complete this outfit.
