Rain while you're on the motorcycle, it's rarely a good time. Being prepared is always a good thing and we like to think that rainwear is like umbrellas: if you have them with you, it never rains.
So with that in mind, we want a good, stowable raincoat that's always at hand when we're on the road. And the Nimes 3 by IXS is just that. With a breathable mesh lining, it stays comfortable because it is breathable. One of the risks of rainwear is that you're not only trying to keep water out, but at the same time locking moisture in. This is not the case here.
The solto-TEX® coating - the waterproof membrane that returns everywhere at IXS - does what you would expect and the details illustrate that the Nimes 3 was made for bikers. There are adjustment options at the waist and both sleeve ends got an elastic finish.
Two waterproof pockets on the inside allow you to safely store the essentials and avoid water running out of your phone or wallet afterwards. The fluorescent yellow material will make you more visible, but to be sure IXS uses reflective material as well.
Of course: a motorcycle and rain, it's a complex relationship. Anyone who has ever been caught in an April shower on the highway knows more or less how a sock in a washing machine must feel. So there are no miracles, but you're always better off with a decent piece of equipment made for bikers than without.

The sizes of rainwear for the motorcycle correspond with the size chart of motorcycle jackets. Not with the sizes of your body. If you wear a motorcycle jacket size L, you need a raincoat size L, not a roomier one.
