The Luc V2 Air Jacket looks like a bomber jacket (see the collar) but might as well be a sporty mesh motorcycle jacket with the typical touring motorcycle jacket cut (longer in the back). A jack(et) of all trades is rarely any good but in this case, the Luc V2 Air seems to be very successful. Of course, Alpinestars is not new to designing and developing motorcycle jackets, drinking from their fountain of top-quality experience for decades now.
The Luc V2 Air is mainly made of advanced 600D poly material. Hard-wearing and with a long service life in mind, we assume. The frame offers a vast surface for mesh. The result? Ample breathing capacity, lots of riding wind, a pleasant air flow and a very good quality summer’s motorcycle jacket. This paragraph actually lists all of the Luc V2 Air’s most prominent features.
The preformed sleeve construction provides an improved riding comfort and diminishes fatigue. The stretch material on the sleeves also contributes to these benefits. Alpinestars knows to get their beans from the racing world, which is also where they found the ergonomic fit. Nevertheless, the light elbow and shoulder protectors provide this motorbike jacket with a slimmer fit than you’d expect on track. This makes sense because the Luc V2 Air has a sophisticated, urban, less distinct silhouette and is ideal to move among ordinary people. In the meantime, you are still sufficiently and qualitatively protected against impact which can be upgraded with a set of Nucleon chest protectors and a Nucleon Level 1 and / or Nucleon Level 2 Back Protector.
The individual customisation options consist of Velcro in the waist and on the sleeves. There are buttons on the lower arm. The collar is the typical ribbed bomber collar.
A couple of slash pockets and an inner pocket provide the necessary storage space while traffic behind you will notice the reflective details.
