‘May the force be with you’, was first said by General Dodonna in 1977. It’s a mystery to us how he knew back then that the GP Force would be an excellent motorcycle jacket; but then again, that can be said of many things that have happened since then in a galaxy far far away.
The GP Force is – you’ve guessed it – a clear-cut sporty motorcycle jacket made of cowhide; made by Alpinestars, a naturally clear-cut sports-oriented manufacturer of high-quality motorbike jackets. The GP Force motorbike jacket is compatible with the Tech-Air®-airbag systems.
Cowhide is still excellent base material for every motorcycle jacket that has – real or only for appearance – sporting ambitions. The construction of the GP Force consists of several layers and panels, resulting in a solid, wear- and tear-resistant base. Strategically placed ventilation openings on the sides in combination with the perforated leather allow riding wind to pass through while a removable thermal lining has the opposite effect in a different season. This gives away the fact that the GP Force is first and foremost a street-worthy motorbike jacket. Like you’ve exited the track and could go back, but then with just a tad of sophistication.
The fact that you can easily fit in a Tech-Air®-airbag system, requires a little play. Motorcycle jackets like this one should be close-fitting. The thermal lining and a couple of centimetres of margin for the airbag are compensated by using wear-resistant stretch material and accordion pieces. Of course, this isn’t the first sporty motorcycle jacket produced from over the Alps, so it’ll fit. Literally and figuratively. Some pre-shaping and a tight fit enhance the overall comfort level.

Nucleon Flex Pro-impact protectors on shoulders and elbows ensure effective impact protection. External DFS Lite-protectors on the shoulders serve as sliders. There’s a couple of things that makes the GP Force a motorbike jacket to reckon with, that’s for sure. Obviously, the finishing is of a high-level. Velcro strips cover the zip puller at the sleeves and collar. There is a little adjustment possible in the waist (Velcro) but you’ll evidently assume the GP Force fits sufficiently closely from the beginning. This also implies that the two slash pockets and inner pockets can contain something but don’t hold world trip aspirations.
The combinations are obvious, looking in the direction of decent motorcycle jeans as well as leather motorbike pants by Alpinestars.
