The Dainese Rapida Lady is an undisputable ‘feminine’ leather motorcycle jacket. Better still: it is an undisputable leather motorcycle jacket, that seems to be cast around the female body. Specially designed to find the perfect balance between comfort and sportiness.
Soft but wear-resistant and sturdy Tutu cowskin leather is the main component of this short motorcycle jacket. The Nanofeel-lining® adds a large dose of comfort to that mix. Worth mentioning: the stretch strip at chest level. This is a compact and tight-fitting whole. Slightly pre-shaped, tight, with enough stretch material (S1 bi-elastic) to be flexible but still providing lots of protection and tangible safety. The definition of a racing motorcycle jacket, or close to it, anyway.
Two ventilation openings on the side help you through the hottest times and guarantee coolness when things get turbulent. Conversely, there is no need to look for an additional waterproof membrane or thermal lining: motor racing gear like this turns on the heat on its own.
The Rapida Lady gets EN 1621.1-certified Pro-Armor impact protectors on shoulders and elbows. They are ventilated and flexible, warrant a low weight, excellent freedom of movement and mainly a high level of protection. And they are not alone: the aluminium shoulder sliders are likely the most eye-catching visual element of the Rapida Lady. ‘Grip is the enemy’, says Dainese. In case of a fall, obviously. The exchangeable shoulder sliders prevent the (less favourable) roll movement in case of a fall. You can always add an optional back protector.
Two outer pockets and one inner pocket provide some storage space but you wouldn’t expect to pack a load of things in a sporty, racing-related motorcycle jacket anyway.
Below you will find an overview per body length of the appropriate CE homologated Dainese back protector.
