The fast successor to the Dainese Carbon 3 is called – surprise, surprise - Dainese Carbon 4 and just like its predecessor, is a high-quality, sporty motorcycle glove that’s filled with top technology. Short as well, for the fanatic of motorcycle gloves without long cuffs.
Dainese removes all doubt: the Carbon 4 motorcycle gloves are the perfect match to a one or two-piece suit and are not weary of fast laps. The combination of goatskin and sheep leather warrants excellent grip, feedback and protection.
The DCP system (distortion control) protects your little finger and the knuckle protection is made of carbon, which explains its name. The double layers of goatskin, assisted by polyurethane inserts (fingers and palm) ensure added protection. The leather panel that covers the side of each hand additionally, is made of one piece in order to prevent tears and to exclude weak spots.
A motorcycle glove such as the Dainese Carbon 4 Short has pre-shaped fingers and sufficient elasticity to stay comfortable and especially functional at all times. The cuff… is not really present. Not if you’re expecting a cuff like in most racing motorcycle gloves. Completely in line with its name, the Dainese Carbon 4 Short has just enough room to contain a Velcro strip, and that’s it.
It’s not an easy balance: warrant safety and yet make sure that your fingertips get the smallest bit of feedback from the front wheel to send to your brain. A careful balancing act, proven by these motorcycle gloves. Fine motoring skills, feedback, flexible comfort, it’s all there in the Carbon 4 Short. Which it already was, of course.
