This tankbag has a number of assets we don’t find anywhere else. This turns this 25-liter adjustable storage space into an all-rounder that can be utilized in many different fields. There are tankbags that have been designed for specific motorbikes and there are those who are just always up for the task. This one is the latter.
The EA142 – admittedly, the name could have been chosen better but it is definitely a tankbag from the Easy T family – is made up primarily of 600D, which immediately sets the tone: wear- and tear- resistant and a tad robust, this one is ready for adventure.
What’s important is the specific base, which allows the EA142 to be used on many different motorbikes. Three straps with quick-fasteners keep everything neatly in place and prevent the tankbag from taking off unexpectedly. A safety strap for extra mounting around the steering head counts as extra insurance. The EA142 feels most in place on fuel tanks with a slanting shape – think large adventurers.
Further, the EA142 is a standard – so, more than standard – tankbag like we can expect from GIVI. This includes the transparent map holder on top, the yellow fluorescent accents, the anti-skid material at the base and the reinforcements in the corners; feel free to add the shoulder strap and supplied rain cover to that.
An additional storage space in mesh and two long, narrow storage compartments on the sides perfectly complement the large, central storage compartment. That main storage compartment is supplied with a long zipper with two pullers. By bringing both openings of both pullers together, you can lock the tankbag with a small lock. The central storage compartment has no internal divisions. There is a transparent storage space on top to place a map, tablet or smartphone. This hatch can be reached independently.
It is important to know that the central storage compartment can be adjusted about 10 centimeters in height, thanks to the zipper that goes all the way around. This gains a couple of liters of extra storage space. It gives a variable rendering of the dimensions: 20 (or 31) cm high, 25cm wide and 30cm long.
