The all-season Bogotá Pro Drystar® 4 Seasons motorcycle trousers are a technical masterpiece that are at their best during very wet weather. Comfort, temperature and optimal protection; they do fit into one package after all.
The key is Alpinestars’ technically laminated Drystar® waterproof membrane with a double usage but the exterior shell is made of Ripstop and 450D nylon, the latter being a combination of six recycled materials. 600D reinforcements warrant added support in the most important, vulnerable areas. Other inserts focus on stretch qualities, also contributing to the comfort level.
The laminated Drystar® lining offers a superior breathing capacity and exceptional performances during wet weather conditions. It would be mad to claim otherwise but we have to add that at Alpinestars, Drystar® is a tried and tested membrane that effectively delivers excellent results.
An additional asset is that the Drystar® membrane isn’t only wearable underneath the outer shell, it can be worn on top of it just as well. Alpinestars calls this system ‘Liner to drop’, which means that you can entirely construct these motorcycle trousers to your liking – or your circumstances. The DWR treatment (Durable Water Repellent) given to the membrane contributes to that, with the final result that precipitation cannot penetrate the first water-repellent layer, in theory allowing the trousers, together possibly with the lining, to stay light and dry.
Then again, the Bogotá Pro Drystar 4 Seasons has something to prove at the other end of the extreme spectrum. Wide ventilation panels on the upper legs can be operated with one hand and allow you to manage the climate at your will. The removable lining found underneath all these options, varies: 100 grams on the upper legs, 80 grams on the knees, resulting once again in a configured pair of trousers that give the best of themselves in every thinkable circumstance.
The dimensions of the pant legs are adjustable at the height of the calves (Velcro) and there’s another individual adjustment option in the waist. Even with motorbike boots on your feet, getting in and out of these is no problem at all. Suspenders are just as easily used as they are unbuckled, so – again – this is just a matter of preference and configuration. There’s reflective material at the bottom, two slash pockets at the top. Besides ventilation openings, you can see and feel cargo pockets.
The impact protection is Level 2 CE Nucleon Flex Pro knee protectors and Bio-Flex hip protection and with a long connecting zipper, you can swiftly link the Bogotá Pro Drystar 4 Seasons to an Alpinestars motorcycle jacket of your choice.
