This is an oval head kit for the Schubert C5 and E2. The temple pads and rear head pad are specifically designed to better support an oval head type. This kit is only available for Schuberth C5 helmets in size M, L and XL.
The Schubert C5 and E2 are double homologated helmets that focuses primarily on the perfect fit. But, isn’t this different for everybody? Well, there appear to be three large ‘head types’ the Schubert C5 and E2 can adjust to.
Literally: head types. Round, oval and somewhere in-between the two. It’s the small nuances that are especially tangible when a motorbike helmet doesn’t fit 100%.
Under the heading (wink) SCHUBERTH INDIVIDUAL CONCEPT, Schubert created, beside the standard cheek pads and interiors, two more specific kits, each customised to fit a specific head type.
The first question is: what head type are you?
Head type 1: somewhere in-between the two – ‘intermediate’
For the largest group of helmet wearers, the Schubert C5 and E2’s standard interior will do. Their standard head shape is situated ‘between the two’, a little smaller than it is long in top view and the majority of motorcycle helmets are produced with this head type in mind. Wild guesses that end up here, have the statistical advantage.
This head type does not require any additional efforts, no individual cheek pads kit, no intervention.
Head type 2: round head
This is the least occurring head type. You notice that your head is round (always viewed from the top) when standard motorcycle helmets create too much tension at your temples. At the same time, you feel there is a little too much space at your forehead.
Whoever has a round head, can adjust their Schubert C5 or E2 with this specific kit. So as to make it fit better. The kit contains a set of temple pads (thinner than ‘intermediate’) and a rear head pad (thicker than ‘intermediate’).
Head type 3: an oval head
An oval head shape is a little more common and whoever has been equipped with this head type, will experience that there seems to be too much space at the temples while there is a little more pressure on the forehead, when wearing a standard ‘intermediate’.
Those with oval head type, can adjust their Schubert C5 or E2 with this specific kit. So as to make it fit better. The kit contains a set of temple pads (thicker than ‘intermediate’) and a rear head pad (thinner than ‘intermediate’).
