Note: Before using your new REV'IT! heated gloves, we recommend fully charging the included batteries first. Then wake up the batteries by pressing the button on the batteries for a few seconds. When you now insert the batteries into the gloves, the latter will automatically switch on.
Together with the Freedom H2O motorcycle gloves, these Liberty H2O motorbike gloves are the first heated motorcycle gloves coming from a REV’IT! production line.
REV’IT! didn’t go lightly over this decision, either. They searched – and found – a technical combination of materials and layers, each with their own function to then add a (pretty compact) heating system. The ‘active component’ was christened ‘Thermotronic REV’IT! Heating Technology’ and the goal is to keep your hands at a constant 33 degrees, regardless of the situation outside those gloves.
To succeed, REV’IT! deploys no less than six layers/materials. Exkin® Platinum returns heat from the heating elements back in, where it is stored by insulation, while the softshell (wind) and Hydratex® (water) form the outer defence line, with an inner padded layer doing what it is supposed to do.
There are four ‘settings’. The higher the setting, the faster you'll see the battery life decrease. The LED on the motorcycle glove shows what to expect and two 7.4V batteries deliver the necessary power. Those batteries are stored in the palm side to prevent them from being drained due to the cold.
Mode | Battery life |
---|---|
Mode 4 (red) | 130 min |
Mode 3 (orange) | 170 min |
Mode 2 (yellow) | 240 min |
Mode 1 (white) | 480 min |
’Warmth' comes in different intensities and degrees, but the place where the warmth manifests itself plays a role as well, of course. Here we are talking specifically about the topside of the fingers and the back of the hand. It goes without saying that the heat, once it is present, does disperse, which - more than heating up a single spot - ensures the best effect.
The Liberty H2O motorcycle gloves are the premium version of the two types of heated motorcycle gloves. With a solid knuckle protector, a Temperfoam®-palm slider, PrimaLoft®-lining and an extra layer for added grip on the palm, even without heating, these would make excellent motorcycle gloves.
The Liberty H2O heated motorbike gloves are equipped with touchscreen-sensitive fingertips and visor wiper material on the index finger. The cuff is long – partly to contain the batteries – and a Velcro strip keeps everything neatly in place.
Whoever is up for long winter rides, will benefit from an extra set of batteries.
