The Lava H2O Lady is a relatively short motorcycle glove – speaking in winter terms – that sticks out thanks to its light weight, woolly padding, waterproof features and a sharp price to get a hold of all of that.
A tad more motorcycle glove than say, the Bornite H2O Lady, is another way to describe the Lava H2O Lady, for which in part, the TPR knuckle protector is accountable. Still, the Lava H2O Lady shows its soft nature first and foremost. The interior is a combination of Fiberfill® and ‘High loft fur’, which apart from very soft also feels very warm. Literally on top of that a mixture of Hydratex® Z-liner and a wear-resistant exterior creates the perfect buffer against everything a wintery ride might throw at you. The 600D-polyester and Twill Stretch material are what provide sturdiness combined with flexibility and comfort. We mentioned the TPR knuckle protector before and we include honourable mentions for the Temperfoam®-layers on the palm that are part of the PWR|shield. The latter is, as the name suggests, the complete structure and construction of the palm, offering protection like a shield when needed.
The visor wiper is the kind often used by REV’IT! and we had to ‘look’ for it for almost a month with our first pair of motorcycle gloves equipped with it. The material between the index finger and the top of the thumb – that L-shape – contains ‘Flock PU’ which enables you to clean your visor without the presence of any hard components. Better for your visor and as effective as a regular visor wiper.
Also present in a modern-day motorcycle glove like the Lava H2O Lady: touchscreen-sensitive material on the fingertips and (laminated) reflective logos and name.
The cuff – with the padding running all the way to the end – is labelled ‘short’ by REV’IT!, even though they reach the end of your motorcycle jacket’s sleeve effortlessly. Unless you’re fidgeting with the wrong sizes and/or strikingly long arms. A Velcro strip allows to close the Lava H2O Lady neatly and firmly.
The Lava H2O Lady has a number of characteristics that turn it into a pretty universal motorcycle glove, making it broadly usable, with not surprising, a men’s and women’s version.
