The Axis 2 H2O are waterproof overpants, which means that you’ll always need a second pair of ‘regular’ motorbike pants. The daily commuter, all-season rider, frequent rider or the motorcyclist who suddenly feels an impulsive need for an additional (waterproof) layer on the road, will find their perfect companion in these.
Two full-length zippers make donning and doffing extra simple and fast. The fact that you can zip and unzip in every direction and are provided with larger pullers, are great assets to this. Or when you suddenly realise your phone is still in your other pants pocket. It emphasises again that the Axis 2 H2O is designed to be worn over regular pants, motorbike jeans and a pair of motorbike boots, without tremendous effort.
The long side-zippers are covered inside and out by a cover flap, and the entire thing has been given a regular fit. Straightforward, something you’ll probably be able to do in practice as well.
The exterior consists of wear-resistant 450D. A Hydratex G-liner membrane, pretty standard for REV’IT! has been integrated and can therefore not be unzipped. SEESMART CE-level 1 protectors on the knees are fitted by default and optionally added SEESMART CE-level 1 protectors on the hips ensure a high degree of impact prevention.
Don’t go looking for a fly with a zip or a button. The waist is mainly elastic with pushbuttons left and right to adjust as you please. These are obviously overpants so a little play is required. There are a couple of Velcro strips on the bottom of the pant legs. There are no additional pants pockets in the Axis 2 H2O; but evidently there are discrete reflective strips.
There is maintenance clothing, and then there is clothing maintenance. Good, solid motorcycle clothing is an investment in comfort and personal safety. So invest in its maintenance after your purchase and enjoy your gear for longer.
