This most recent member of the expanding Packtalk family comes with a number of striking innovations, separating itself from its relatives with a number of – mostly audible – improvements.
First things first: the Cardo Packtalk Edge Single looks sleek as usual and can take the proverbial beating you may expect on the side of your motorcycle helmet in all weather conditions. Noteworthy is the new, magnetic ‘Air Mount’, which allows you to set the intercom in the correct position easily and with motorcycle gloves on. Without any additional actions.
Once that has all been fixed, the renewed 40mm JBL speakers stand out. Or don’t. That’s how it works with excellent audio: you get used to it fast. The Americans have been experts in speakers for over 70 years now. Link that to Cardo’s passion for ‘being-on-the-road-on-a-motorbike-and-still-listening-and-talking (in short: intercom) and you can be sure that this synergy reaches new highs.
Better speakers result in better ‘Natural Voice Operation’ and with the second-generation DMC™ (Dynamic Mesh Communication) you can rest assured: better audio quality in a more stabile network (mesh) to establish a quicker and easier connection. The Bluetooth 5.2 used in this system will most certainly have something to do with that.
The Cardo Packtalk Edge Single is certainly an update. Staying up to date is easy with the wireless updates via the Cardo Connect app. Again: easy, practical, smooth, convenient. And premium quality.

General remark: The world of electronics (which also includes intercoms, smartphones, GPS, etc.) is changing so fast that it is possible that some (outdated) devices are not compatible with each other in certain areas. Unfortunately, the manufacturer can't provide us with data that shows which combinations between intercoms/GPS and/or smartphones cause problems. A regular update of all electronic devices is therefore desirable to avoid problems as much as possible.
