The Alpinestars Motion Pack 7 – AMP-7 in short – is a technical, sturdy and well-designed motorcycle backpack with a capacity of 22 litres. Sporty and aerodynamic, practical and all-round with a great design.
The exterior fabric inspires confidence. It’s obviously not a racing suit but it will test the elements on the way. It means that your stuff is stored safe and sound in the large, central compartment. The zips (double pulls) are long, seem to be splashproof and grant easy access. In that largest compartment, the Velcro strips stand out. They offer the possibility to play around with the adjustable and therefore removable additional inner bag. Once you’re done doing that, you store your laptop in the separately accessible, padded storage compartment in the back, your wallet in the smaller compartment in the front and you’re off.
The AMP-7 motorcycle backpack has a total capacity of 22 litres and is almost literally embraced by 4 adjustable straps. They ensure an extra secure closure, a stable load and a backpack that will stay tight and close to your body while on the road. Aerodynamics, like we said. There are more handles than hands on a biker: three of them – one at the top and two on the sides – that turn the AMP-7 into a convenient and practical unit, on and off the motorcycle.
The two most important shoulder straps are sufficiently padded, ventilated and comfortable because at Alpinestars, they know and understand the anatomy of the average shoulder. Moreover, the AMP-7 was given a foldable waist band, a chest strap with magnetic buckle that’s easy to close while you’re already riding and a rain cover below.
Alpinestars claim that this is everything you’ll need to call this an excellent travel companion. We concur.
