The Eloise V2 Women’s Air looks like a bomber jacket (look at the collar) but might as well be a sporty mesh motorcycle jacket with a cut (longer in the back) typical for higher-quality touring motorcycle jackets. This stylish, summer motorcycle jacket is also Tech-Air-ready and compatible with the Tech-Air® 5-Airbag System.
It’s usually not a smart thing to do, to put all your eggs in one basket, but in this case, the Eloise V2 Women’s Air seems to pull it off. Of course, Alpinestars is no stranger to developing motorcycle jackets, drinking from the fountain of top experience for many decades.
The main component of the Eloise V2 Women’s Air is advanced 600D poly material. Wear-resistant and with a long service life in mind, we suspect. The frame offers room for a large surface of mesh. The result? Lots of breathability, a pleasant airstream and a high-quality summer motorcycle jacket. We just listed the most important features of the Eloise V2 Women’s Air.
The preshaped sleeve construction postpones fatigue during the ride and improves riding comfort. This is assisted by the stretch material on the shoulders. Alpinestars’ source is the racing world, which is also where they found the ergonomic shape. The light elbow and shoulder protectors do, however, give the motorcycle jacket a slightly slimmer fit than you’d find on the tracks. Which makes sense, because the Eloise V2 Women’s Air has a sophisticated, urban, less distinct silhouette and can effortlessly move among ordinary people; while still being protected by decent quality impact protection. An optional Nucleon Plasma back protector (level 2 certified) or Nucleon KR-CELLi back protector (level 1 certified) can be easily integrated. Upgrading the Eloise V2 Women’s Air with chest protectors, however, is not an option.
There are individual customisation options in the form of Velcro in the waist and on the sleeves. There are buttons on the lower arm. The collar is the typical, ribbed bomber collar.
A couple of slash pockets and an inner pocket offer the necessary storage space while traffic that’s behind you will notice the reflective details.
There is maintenance clothing, and then there is clothing maintenance. Good, solid motorcycle clothing is an investment in comfort and personal safety. So invest in its maintenance after your purchase and enjoy your gear for longer.
