The CR-X Women's Drystar is a visually sporty, tight ankle-high motorcycle shoe. Vintage Alpinestars with a contemporary style and a significant focus for comfort. Comfort can be interpreted in many different ways: dry feet, easy gear-changing, a tight fit, a spring in your step… But, what if you could get all of the above combined?
Alpinestars comes close with the CR-X Women's Drystar. Somewhere between stepping shoe and motorcycle shoe. They fit right, feel right, are watertight and nice to walk in. When Alpinestars produces something, it always incorporates the knowledge and expertise of the racing world as well.
Construction, technology, knowhow, all present in this CR-X Women's Drystar. Visually, they can be categorised in the ‘urban’ department. Or use them to go for a long, energetic walk. The advanced construction of these motorcycle shoes contains mesh material that is integrated seamlessly in the outer layer that is mainly made of rubber. As a whole, the result is a well-ventilated, breathing, comfortable and yet still very protective motorcycle shoe.

The CR-X Women's Drystar has a TPF sole bed over the entire shoe length, creating a firm base to be structured with a lot of comfort around that. The rubber sole consists of two components so that the occasional hanging foot is not a cause for new shoes immediately. A lightweight ‘inside’ boot gives it a high ‘like a glove’ feel. The Ortholite technical inner sock only enhances that feeling.
All that comfort comes at a price. Not so much in dough but the CR-X Women's Drystar has a less firm toe and heel than we usually expect from a motorcycle shoe – and definitely, a motorcycle boot. On the other hand, you can’t expect to step inside an iron box and walk around comfortably all day. So, you choose, you lose, without losing this time. It’s rather a matter of where the focus lies. Anyway, the CR-X Women’s Drystar has a number of elements that other motorcycle shoes lack.
The quick-closure lacing, the Velcro, the impressive sole, the way in which it all just comes together and fits … This is one of those motorcycle shoes we hoped to find along the way.
