The Zaca Air motorcycle jacket by Alpinestars is a genuine Italian mesh motorcycle jacket with a little extra, in the form of a waterproof membrane. Ideal for summer temperatures and sportier riders, and when you’re not 100% sure about what today is going to bring.
The Zaca Air Jacket is the ultimate (summer’s) motorcycle jacket to stay ahead of all unexpected weather conditions. The Zaca Air motorbike jacket is unencumbered by that and is ready to ride, anyhow, anywhere.
In the most natural circumstances, the Zaca Air loves dry weather, warmth and permeability. Mediterranean climate, long springtime, summer and autumn, bring it on. Whether you’re just heading to town or getting off on a Sunday morning, thinking, ‘let’s see what today brings’, with a removable hood and lots of mesh, the possibilities are far and wide.
The combination of 3D mesh with stretch, wear resistant 450D ‘polyfabric’ reinforcements and softshell inserts (also stretch) on for instance, shoulders and chest seem to be ideal and delivers a motorcycle jacket that is still surprisingly firm, despite the large number of mesh panels. Of course, this is not the first motorcycle jacket Alpinestars developed and we admit it: it shows. They know what they’re doing and with this, they discovered a very comfortable mixture of sporty style and easy, wearable and versatile comfort.
Specifically because below all that hides the main asset of the Zaca Air motorcycle jacket: the waterproof membrane. Thin, unzippable and effective. The 2L waterproof lining also acts as an additional wind jacket, emphasising even more the wide usability of this Zaca Air motorcycle jacket. The only thing missing in this story is a thermal lining, but at some point we have to call it quits when the extremes are too far apart (permeability versus thermal lining). It’s already amazing how far this motorcycle jacket can take you.
The Zaca Air is compatible with the Tech-Air® Airbag System and the fans of the advanced Alpinestars range will definitely recognise the DFS Lite sliders on the shoulders. The sporty element, remember? Underneath that, you can fall back on (hopefully not literally) the Nucleon Flex Plus CE Level 1-protectors on the shoulders, elbows and even forearms. Nucleon Flex Plus, the name gives it away, is a very flexible, light protection. An optional Nucleon Level 1 or Nucleon Level 2 back protector can be integrated easily, as well as chest protectors.
Alpinestars even gave the Zaca Air motorcycle jacket a couple of wide slash pockets-with-zip and a couple of inner pockets (the exact number depends on the presence of the membrane), which provides quite a lot of storage space for a mesh jacket.
You can even adjust a few things, thanks to the Velcro strips met loop in the waist and the Velcro strips on the sleeve ends. Like we said earlier, the hood can be removed or reattached.
The Zaca Air motorcycle jacket has no connecting zip, but it does have a Belt Loop. Combining this jacket with proper motorcycle jeans seems an obvious choice.
