Completely in line with and perfectly compatible to the contemporary Softshell motorcycle jackets are these REV’IT! Summit 4 H2O motorcycle gloves. Trendy, all-rounders, soft on the inside – at first glance – and waterproof with a probability bordering on certainty.
We only say that because the waterproofness in this case is carried out by the self-developed REV’IT!-system with integrated Hydratex Z-liner and McFit®-technology. And because in general, the GORE-TEX version is usually another level. Whether that’s justified, we’ll leave in the middle for now. It does show in the Summit 4 H2O’s price tag, nonetheless.
These are perfect travel companions when the temperatures stay within acceptable limits while it’s pouring down. They are still remarkably thin, even with all those layers. You can easily write your name at the bottom of the page wearing these Summit 4 H2O. Or just about. That’s exactly what the integrated Hydratex Z-liner and McFit®-technology is for, which means they succeeded.
The most important ingredients (on the outside) are Softshell (back of the hand) and goatskin (palm of the hand). The cuff is made of PWR|Shell (stretch and ripstop), while the reflective and touchscreen-compatible patches are placed where they are needed. Worth mentioning is the visor wiper that runs all over the side of the index finger.
The impact protection is present in the form of a hard TPU knuckle protector (with a layer of Temperfoam® underneath), a TPU palm slider and a TPU thumb protector. Also remarkable is the hard TPU little finger protector.
Through the Temperfoam®, there are softer supplements on the palm, fingers and thumb.
The Summit 4 H2O motorbike gloves can be worn either over or under the sleeves. The cuff is somewhere between long and non-existent.
