The successor of the Voltiac and the Voltiac 2 was logically given the number 3. And the extension H2O for its waterproof properties. Substantially more than okay, stylish, for men as well as women and with an update, this Voltiac 3 H2O is a very competitively priced 2-in-1 for daily use.
REV’IT! has its characteristic cut, for touring jackets as well. If you’ve never worn REV’IT! before, you might feel it’s kind of short, even though the back is worked out longer than the front in order to avoid a bare back. In the front, the REV’IT! style will have the irrefutable advantage that a bulging jacket will never be a source of irritation. On the motorcycle, where it counts, this ensures optimal wearing comfort.
The Voltiac 3 H2O is a textile motorcycle jacket that is largely made of polyester 600D, judicially supplemented with polyester ripstop on the sleeves. This third version also got ripstop on the shoulders and leaves the earlier experiments with softshell behind. This results in a tight unit, where a splash of water will have little to no effect.
Having said that, the genuine commuter will obviously want to reach their destination through a proper shower as well. The Voltiac 3 H2O was therefore given a non-removable membrane, the hydratex|G-liner. This waterproof coating is attached to the inside of the liner, with taped seams. It should come as no surprise that the breathing capacities of the Hydratex membrane were considered as well. Spring and autumn are largely covered thanks to this. In winter, you’ll obviously use the unzippable thermal lining. Soft, warm and comfortable. For summer, the Voltiac 3 H2O is provided with direct ventilation zippers that allow to find a perfect balance between protection and ventilation. The ventilation openings in the back are permanently open.
The Voltiac 3 H2O is a relatively light motorcycle jacket, that truthful to REV’IT! tradition may fit rather tightly. Two adjustable straps on the left and right side serve to perfectly centre the motorbike jacket and to completely exclude any wind play. A drawstring in the waist, Velcro on the sleeve ends, a press stud on the upper arms and double-sided pushbutton with slider on the collar should allow you to have the Voltiac 3 H2O fit 100% to your liking. Two wide pockets in the front (plus two slash pockets), supplemented with an inner pocket and a Napoleon pocket result in plenty of storage space.
Discrete but well-placed reflective panels and strips on the chest, back and upper arms guarantee proper visibility. The impact protection was upgraded compared to the original Voltiac and it now has SEESMART CE-level 1 shoulder and elbow protectors. Whoever wants to, can optionally fit a SEESOFT RV of SEESOFT Air CE-level 2 back protector.
Price/quality-wise, the Voltiac 3 H2O belongs to the top of the market. The short connecting zipper makes the combination with the Factor 4 motorcycle trousers quite evident.
