But, first things first, the outer layer of the Offtrack 2 H2O is composed of a blend of materials that look for (and find) the perfect balance between protection and ventilation. 600D polyester is a wear and tear resistant winner that takes on the largest part. Because trousers – especially on the motorcycle – require a certain level of flexibility, it is supplemented with PWR|SHELL in ripstop and stretch, right over the knees and in the back. Reflective accents on the cargo pockets and a strip of supergrip on the seat ‘finish’ the unit.
We already told you that you can unzip the thermal lining as well as the new and very comfortable Hydratex membrane in the beat of an eye. If that’s still too hot for you, the VCS ventilation openings on the upper legs will certainly come to the rescue.
Protection comes in the form of standard SEEFLEX-level 2 CE-protectors on the knees and SEESMART CE-level 1 protectors on the hip. Two large and wide cargo pockets (Velcro) offer storage space, plus, the Offtrack 2 H2O is a wide fit. This mainly means that they are easy to get out of or step into, definitely when using the zippers at the bottom of the legs. Should you want to tighten things up afterwards, then you can find the right and very personal balance with Velcro strips on the calves, a press stud on the lower legs and adjustable straps with buckles in the waist. If you want to be absolutely sure, then you can optionally use the Strapper Suspenders the Offtrack 2 H2O is prepared for. The odds of them sliding down ‘just like that’ are zero to none, however, because the YKK sliding button and zip keep everything nice and shut.
