The fourth version of the GP Plus one-piece motorcycle suit is a new attempt to create a higher performing, tighter, lighter and safer motorcycle suit. A successful attempt at that, because this Alpinestars GP Plus V4 has a lot of innovative elements and materials.
Let’s clarify the name: GP is obvious, ‘Plus’ is that little bit of extra and the fourth version speaks for itself. And off we go. This is full option racing gear. Flex Plus racing leather, Alpinestars Composite Stretch Plus material, , MATRYX®, HRSF and GP DFS-sliders are a proper warranty for wear-resistance.
Innovative is what it is, the MATRYX®-material. It links a light weight to a superior wear resistance. And that’s exactly what you want on the circuit: extremes. Lighter than everyone else. Better ventilated than everyone else. Safer and more wear resistant. Faster. That same MATRYX®-material also partly determines the appearance of this motorcycle race suit. The new Flex Plus racing leather, tanned and refined in Italy, ultra flexible and self-adjusting to the body, catches the eye. It ensures that the GP Plus V4 motor racing suit offers comfort, feel and freedom of movement. Plus, it is 10% lighter than regular cowhide. The HRSF stretch inserts in the groin, the backside of the legs, the inside of the arms and the chest are what take the weight down even more. Add to that proper breathability properties and performances for optimal ventilation and then it’s clear that this is a new step forward.
This one-piece motorcycle racing suit is compatible with the Tech-Air® Airbag Systems such as the Tech-Air® 10 or Tech-Air® 5.
We’re not done yet: the GP Plus V4 motor racing suit has Alpinestars Composite Stretch Plus (A-CS® Plus) where – usually – your flanks and shoulder blades are positioned. That should effectively deliver more flexibility and freedom of movement, at a lower weight. Concretely, the stretch increases by 20%, while the tear resistance has been improved up to three times (compared with regular cowhide). It decreases fatigue and allows the rider to be more comfortable.
The impact protection has come directly from the rich Alpinestars pedigree and is destined for the race track. So, top quality. CE-certified internal protectors on elbows, shoulders, shins and knees come standard and are removable. ‘GP-R’ is Alpinestars choice, which is mostly flexible, thin and comfortable. The hip protector is Bioflex, the shoulders were given the Nucleon Race shoulder protection. The external knee sliders are evidently exchangeable, renewable, removable … It is the objective to use them, that much is for sure.
A CE-certified Nucleon Race back protector can be fitted optionally.

We recommend regular treatment with a water-repellent maintenance product. This treatment keeps the jacket from getting soaking wet and prevents dirt from sticking to it. For longer-term maintenance we recommend using a spray for matte leather, so that the leather remains supple.
