The Outback 4 H2O is the apparent – and once again improved – successor to the Outback 3 and offers everything a motorcycle traveller requires: ventilation, storage space, reflection and the possibility to arm yourself against the weather.
Add high-quality impact protection, an innovated look, the understanding that every motorbike trip starts at your front door and it all becomes clear: the Outback 4 H2O is developed for everyone who steps on their motorcycle regularly and likes a versatile 3-in-1. At a realistic price.
The ladies’ and men’s versions of the Outback 4 H2O differ in one clear segment: if we compare both versions side to side, we see that the chest pockets have been eliminated for the ladies. REV’IT! does stick to their representative cut, like they almost always do with their touring jackets. If you’ve never worn REV’IT! before, you might feel this is rather short, although the back is also longer to avoid a bare back. You won’t have to worry that the motorcycle jacket will bulge against the fuel tank. This provides optimal wearing comfort on the motorcycle, and that’s where it counts. The Outback 4 H2O is composed of 600D polyester on the outside, judicially supplemented with polyester ripstop (PWR|Shell), resulting in a wear and tear resistant unit.
You can wear the Outback 4 H2O all year round, thanks to the removable 2L Hydratex membrane. Waterproof, breathing and with a level of finishing that is nothing short of impressive. Are you looking for extra warmth, then the equally removable thermal lining will bring you solace. This is nicely finished as well and thanks to the system of uniform press studs (versus different zippers) you can integrate both layers separate from one another.
Getting too hot from all that unzipping? The well-known system of (six) ventilation zippers (VCS|Zipper) was given a substantial upgrade and complemented with ventilation panels on the chest.
The Dutch motorcycle clothing manufacturer likes clothing to be tight on and around the body. This results in almost all REV’IT! motorcycle jackets having a lot of extra individual adjustment options. Straps on the right and left side serve to centre the jacket to your liking and to completely exclude any play of riding wind. A drawstring in the waist, a zip on the sleeve ends (also acting as a ventilation opening), a pushbutton at the upper arm and the slider on the collar should allow the Outback 4 H2O to be fitted 100% to your liking.
Four wide pockets in the front – possibly with a couple of chest pockets – are supplemented with inner pockets in the motorcycle jacket, membrane and thermal lining which results in plenty of storage space. You can store a pair of wet (or dry) motorcycle gloves on the backside, although that extra storage compartment is mainly intended to keep removable elements (lining and/or membrane) close-by.
The applied reflective material was given an update and ensures proper visibility. For whoever wants just a little bit more: the Outback 4 H2O is supplied with connection loops that allow you to quickly and properly attach the HV Connector Vest. The SEEFLEX CE-level 2 protectors on shoulders and elbows are a significant upgrade of the impact protection. The jacket can also be fitted with a SEESOFT RV or SEESOFT Air CE-level 2 back protector and is ready to be fitted a SEESOFT CE-level 1 chest protector. The short connecting zip allows for a perfect combo with the Outback 4 H2O trousers.
