The Springride reference HELD makes suggests that these motorcycle gloves come into their own during springtime mostly. That doesn’t have to be the case, though: leather, GORE-TEX and a long cuff; that’s enough for many riders to use them all year round.
This motorbike glove is definitely a commuter. Suited to wear often and in all circumstances. The goatskin motorcycle glove (back and palm) gets a warm fleece lining (on the back) and a breathing, waterproof membrane to keep everything dry and comfortable. This will take you a long way already – for as far as motorbike gloves go, anyway. Definitely with GORE-TEX.
HELD was once founded as manufacturer of motorcycle gloves so it doesn’t surprise that they don’t drop the ball here. The Springride motorbike gloves give confidence to its wearer. The solid knuckle protector closes neatly around the hand and the protection on the fingers is really something. There’s a palm slider in the ball of the hand and wherever it’s useful, HELD provided an extra layer of leather. Or they used a different type of leather: on the fingertips of the thumb and the index finger, you can operate your smartphone or touchscreen, and there’s a visor wiper as well.
Moving along toward the wrist, there’s a well-fitting cuff. A wide Velcro strip helps adjusting the seven-centimeter cuff to the wrist nicely, which allows you to wear the Springride over or underneath your motorcycle jacket.
Being waterproof thanks to the best membrane, breathable and almost integrally made of goatskin, these Springride motorbike gloves deliver high scores for price and quality.
