The Bradical is a radical (apologies) new motorcycle jacket type. Well, maybe not really, but it is an outstanding, summery motorcycle jacket with a couple of interesting and fun features. So, bordering-radical. Or B-radical? And clearly ‘urban’, comfortable, with a watertight – removable – membrane and lots of ventilation, that too.
The Bradical has an off-centre main zipper that runs over the entire length of the motorcycle jacket but that thanks to its position also leaves room for a large, central kangaroo pocket. What you get is a couple of visual Anorak style elements while maintaining the comfort of a regular motorcycle jacket with a central zip. That’s not central. It delivers a separate mesh motorcycle jacket, assisted by the rest of the design. The large 3D mesh panels for instance, are another eye-catcher. The rest of the exterior consists mainly of wear-resistant Fybrex and you can add a little EVA on the shoulders in that mix. Those hard, external shoulder cups provide a sporty element – and a little added robustness.
On the arms (inside), chest and large portions of the back, focus clearly lies on ventilation. Or that’s what first appearances suggest because the 3D mesh panels are amply present. The removable Raintex ML membrane with Easy cuff system acts as an additional waterproof layer, to be used at will, that largely expands the options of this motorcycle jacket. All of a sudden, this is no longer a summer motorcycle jacket but a motorcycle jacket that can withstand a summer shower. A motorcycle jacket that can handle cool mornings and evenings. A motorcycle jacket that’s practical, visually remarkable and functionally interesting.
The latter is, to a considerable extent, due to the large kangaroo pocket that is mirrored in the back with a second large storage pocket. Right above that, you see the ‘Hoodie Holder’ that keeps the – removable – hood in place. That too!
The wear-resistant exterior is visually adjustable by means of press studs on the arms and Velcro on the sleeve ends. You can loosen or tighten everything at the hips as well. If you prefer attaching the Bradical to your motorcycle trousers or motorcycle jeans with the Belt Loop, then that’s fine too.
Impact protection is up to scratch. With level 1 elbow and shoulder protectors, you come a long way. A back protector is optional but everything has been provided.
Conclusion? The Bradical is a mesh motorcycle jacket that is visually and functionally a lot more than ‘just’ a mesh motorcycle jacket.
