It sounds more daunting than it actually is; Black Ridge - these mid-season motorcycle gloves, however, are an interesting option. With a waterproof membrane, long cuff and decent protection, we know a few motorcyclists who would only need this pair to get through the year.
Of course, they do have heated grips to soften the bite during their ride because no matter how decent these motorcycle gloves are, their padding is a little too limited to carry far outside the midseason climate. With that, we have pinpointed just about the only restriction of these gloves, which in turn provide a lot of agility and feeling.
Tactel® on the back of the hand is what keeps you from taking off your Black Ridge motorcycle gloves more often than you should: flexible, wear-resistant, sufficiently solid and still very convenient. The leather palm keeps a smooth steering feel with the handlebars and warrants grip and feedback. The extra padding and the double layer of cowhide serve their wear-resistance and should you slip up at any point, you can count on the TPU knuckle protector and the reinforcements on the finger to counter that.
Below that comfortable and sufficiently sturdy outer layer, there’s a Sympatex® membrane that keeps everything waterproof and breathable. There isn’t much more a motorcycle glove’s wish list could contain; except for maybe a long cuff, decent closure, visor wiper and touch tip for your smartphone and navigation system. Ow wait, those can be checked off the Black Ridge’s checklist as well.
Fun, slim motorcycle gloves for versatile and comfortable use.
