The Lady Hercule GTX are a pair of solid motorcycle gloves with GORE-TEX®, goatskin leather and enough softshell to give them their distinct wintery ambitions. With its 110 grams, the lining belongs in the upper regions, while grip is still dazzling.
Wintery on your motorcycle, it always feels like make or break. Dry, warm, no steering feel or quite the opposite… The Lady Hercule GTX – there’s also a Hercule GTX with practically the same qualities – tries to tie all these properties together. And succeeds.
Softshell is the foundation for the exterior. Soft, flexible, typically winter… The accordion panels on the fingers and mainly the palms consist of goatskin leather; feelings-wise, still the best choice to keep both hands at the handlebars in a controlled manner. However, it’s more what you don’t see that makes an impression here: the Lady Hercule GTX has been given a Gore-Tex®-membrane. Breathing, waterproof and high-quality all-round. Add the 110-gram lining to that – as a third layer – and there can only be one logical conclusion: wintery motorcycle gloves. Dry, warm and comfortable.
The knuckle protector is hidden a little bit underneath all these layers, but it’s a solid one. With the impact protectors we also count the hand palm reinforcements. The Lady Hercule GTX is obviously not a racing glove, so this is kept within reasonable limits.
Wearing the Lady Hercule GTX will not cause an issue using your indicators or operating other functions on your handlebars. We can’t seem to close the Double-D ring closure of our helmets with any motorbike glove, although we did manage halfway in these. The Sensor System allows you to tap away freely at the touchscreens in front of you. This means you don’t really have to take off the Lady Hercule GTX all that often. The cuff is long and can (thank you, Velcro) be worn over or underneath the sleeves.
The visor wiper is made of the material that’s attached to the side of your index finger. So no hard plastic but an inconspicuous yet decent element. The Lady Hercule GTX is a wintery motorbike glove with more substance than you’d expect at first glance.
