Price-quality this is an excellent choice. The GORE-TEX®-membrane has been integrated in the outer layer of this motorcycle jacket. The IXS stretch material does what the name implies: be stretchy. It contributes to the comfort, to the ease of use and the fit of this 2-in-1. A removable thermal lining opens the door to fall and winter, while the ‘air system’ consists of ventilation zippers on the shoulders. On the back, a 3D mesh and a couple of other ventilation zips give riding wind a way out. Together with the water-repellent mesh lining, this should create a healthy body temperature in just about every situation. The system guarantees a motorcycle jacket that takes the edge off the extremes. On the other hand, you’re still riding with the best, most waterproof membrane on the market today, so high-summer isn’t particularly the season the Horizon prefers.
The odds that spring and fall are accompanied by lots of wind or even a storm, is compensated by the cleverly designed collar. It has a soft padding and is not too high at first glance. However, it hides a waterproof, integrated storm hood that keeps your neck warm and dry. Your motorcycle helmet fits perfectly on top of it.
Despite the high level of stretch, IXS also provided loads of individual adjustment options. Especially on the arms the Velcro strips are legion (three of them!). The centring Velcro keeps everything snug and an internal (elastic) drawstring takes care of the last finishing centimetres.
