This helmet comes standard with a clear visor. Tinted and mirrored visors are available as options.
The SCORPION EXO-1400 EVO Air comes in a number of trims and versions but is always sharp, aggressive and has just about every SCORPION feature on board. Two spikes in the logo, towering performance and visually super strong, this is an full-face helmet that is also a style choice.
Or at least it should be. The EXO-1400 EVO Air comes with a fiberglass helmet shell and three different helmet shells keep every helmet size tightly within bounds. At SCORPION this translates mainly into a narrower helmet shell with full-length aerodynamic accents. The composite shell (TCT) uses different fibers, with specific properties, for the best possible result.
The double chin vent is as easy to operate with one relatively big slider, with or without gloves. The top ventilation is also easy to find. The incoming air cools the helmet and then disappears through the rear air outlet. This is processed in a small spoiler that always remains open. The name of the EXO-1400 EVO Air is subtly added to this, to make it clear to those behind that you are riding with a top-of-the-range helmet.
The Airfit system from SCORPION is present. Through an air pump in the chin piece, you inflate the cheek pads to your liking. The valve next to the pump allows the air to escape.
SCORPION - Asian with a European twist - uses a number of typical words and terms which we are happy to help you understand.
The Ellip Tec II system is the SCORPION name for the visor attachment. The present transparent visor is easy to operate and has a central locking mechanism at the front which opens almost automatically and very instinctively, and locks automatically when you close the visor far enough. The tight fit should guarantee a clear view even in wet conditions. A Pinlock® lens with Maxvision is included with the motorcycle helmet.
With the term 'Speedview' SCORPION is looking in the direction of an integrated sun visor. The slider can be found on the left, just behind the hinge point of the transparent visor. Up and down, it does not get any easier.
Kwickwick 3 is about the interior: fully removable, washable and hypoallergenic, this helmet interior regulates the internal moisture management in a way that is more than reassuring. Even in warm conditions, by the way. When you read the word 'Kwikfit' in a text about SCORPION motorbike helmets, as a wearer of glasses you know that you can rest assured: this motorbike helmet is perfectly equipped for that, with cut-outs for your glasses.
A wide and tight neck rim, the adjustable double D-shut closure and the present 'emergency'-system that allows to take off the helmet in case of emergency, illustrate that attention was paid to the details. A wind deflector is removable, just like the wind seal on the chin.
Also not to be sneezed at: five-year warranty, if you please.
For maintenance of this helmet we recommend S100 helmet and visor cleaner for the outside. For cleaning the interior, without removing it, you can use S100 helmet interior cleaner. New visors have received a water-repellent treatment. This treatment is less effective after some time. Restore the water-repellent effect with Rain-X anti-rain spray.
Safety above all! Never ride with a scratched or dull visor. Especially at night, scratches cause blinding reflections from streetlights and headlights of oncoming vehicles. This effect is even more pronounced in rainy weather. It is best to replace a scratched or dull visor as soon as possible. Planning a longer trip? Then don't forget to take a replacement visor with you. Never ride in the dark with a tinted visor.
