This helmet comes standard with a fitted clear visor and a tinted visor in the box. Mirror visors are available as an option.
The SCORPION EXO-1400 EVO Carbon Air comes in a number of trims and versions but is always sharp, aggressive and has just about every SCORPION feature on board. Two spikes in the logo, towering performance and super strong visually, this is a full-face helmet that is also a style choice.
Or at least it should be. The EXO-1400 EVO Carbon Air comes with a carbon fiber helmet shell and three different shell sizes keep every helmet size well within reach. At SCORPION this translates into a narrower helmet shell with full-length aerodynamic accents. And a weight of only 1450 grams, which is excellent for a full-face helmet with two visors. The Ultra TCT technology is a recent innovation and guarantees excellent shock absorption on impact.
The chin ventilation is easily operated with one big push with or without gloves. The top ventilation is also easy to find. The incoming air cools the helmet and then disappears through the rear air outlet. This is incorporated into a small spoiler and always remains open. The name of the EXO-1400 EVO Carbon Air is subtly added to this, to make it clear to those behind that you are riding classy.
The Airfit system from SCORPION is present. Via an air pump in the chin piece, you can inflate the cheek pads to your liking. The valve next to the pump allows the air to escape.
SCORPION - Asian with a European twist - uses a number of typical words and terms that we would like to help you understand.
The Ellip Tec II system is the SCORPION name for the visor attachment. The present transparent visor is easy to operate and has a central locking mechanism at the front which opens almost automatically and very instinctively, and locks automatically when you close the visor far enough. The tight fit should guarantee a clear view even in wet conditions. A Pinlock® lens with Maxvision is included with the motorcycle helmet.
With the term 'Speedview' SCORPION is looking in the direction of an integrated sun visor. The slider can be found on the left, just behind the hinge point of the transparent visor. Up and down, it does not get any easier.
If that is not enough: in the box you will also find an extra tinted visor, to replace the transparent standard one.
Kwickwick 3 is about the interior: fully removable, washable and hypoallergenic, this helmet interior regulates the internal moisture management in a way that is more than reassuring. Even in warm conditions, by the way. When you read the word 'Kwikfit' in a text about SCORPION motorbike helmets, as a wearer of glasses you know that you can rest reassured: this motorbike helmet is perfectly equipped for that, with cut-outs for your glasses.
A wide and tight neck rim, the adjustable double D-shut closure and the present 'emergency'-system that allows you to take off the helmet in case of emergency, they illustrate that attention was paid to the details. An included wind deflector is removable, as is the wind curtain chin.
The SCORPION EXO-1400 EVO Carbon Air comes with a five-year warranty.
To maintain this helmet, for the exterior we recommend S100 helmet and visor cleaner. To clean the interior, without removing it, you can use S100 helmet interior cleaner. New visors have received a water-repellent treatment. This treatment is less effective after some time. Restore the water-repellent effect with Rain-X anti-rain spray.
Safety above all! Never ride with a scratched or dull visor. Especially at night, scratches cause blinding reflections from streetlights and headlights of oncoming vehicles. This effect is even more pronounced in rainy weather. It is best to replace a scratched or dull visor as soon as possible. Planning a longer trip? Then don't forget to take a replacement visor with you. Never ride in the dark with a tinted visor.
