With a SCORPION EXO-Combat II you’re easily spotted, which is exactly the point. This second version of the SCORPION EXO-Combat complies with the requirements to get an ECE 22.06 certification and has a slightly sharper line than its predecessor. More bad-ass, more aggressive, more hooligan style riding.
Just like the original EXO-Combat, this SCORPION EXO-Combat II is also a full-blown streetfighter with removable chin guard. The full-face appearance does put you on the wrong track a little because this is jet helmet with a (mainly aesthetic) chin guard. A mask. It blocks riding wind and provides that little extra warmth, while at the same time creating what it’s all about: coolness.
The SCORPION EXO-Combat II was given a better noise reduction so should be more silent and has an upgraded sun visor. The chin guard is very easy (even easier!) to mount or remove (pushbutton) and with two integrated cover plates and an additional cover, you transform this motorcycle helmet’s appearance in no time. To become a little bit more civilised.
The helmet shell is made of polycarbonate; so, very lightweight, something which contributes to the two helmet shells for different helmet sizes. You can count on 1300 grams – chin piece included. That’s just a tad more than a ‘bucket helmet’, but this jet helmet has an integrated sun visor. Without slider in the helmet shell, you simply pull down and push back up. The pulled-down dark visor covers the entire helmet opening when the chin piece is mounted.
Integrated speaker compartments have already been provided in the KwikWick
comfort Liner interior, which is also completely removable, washable and
hypoallergenic. Wearing glasses is no problem at all, either. It regulates the
internal climate control in a way that is more than comforting. In warmer
circumstances too, by the way. The interior is ‘limited’
to the jet helmet here.
The chin piece has remained ‘naked’.
The triple, mesh grill ventilation opening can be opened and closed on the
inside of the chin guard. You operate the top ventilation openings with one
single slider.
The closure is adjustable and micrometric. The SCORPION EXO-Combat II comes with a five-year warranty.
For maintenance of this helmet we recommend S100 helmet and visor cleaner for the exterior. To clean the interior, without removing it, you can use S100 helmet interior cleaner. New visors have received a water-repellent treatment. This treatment is less effective after some time. Restore the water-repellent effect with Rain-X anti-rain spray.
Safety above all! Never ride with a scratched or dull visor. Especially at night, scratches cause blinding reflections from streetlights and headlights of oncoming vehicles. This effect is even more pronounced in rainy weather. It is best to replace a scratched or dull visor as soon as possible. Planning a longer trip? Then don't forget to take a replacement visor with you. Never ride in the dark with a tinted visor.
