The X.25 Trace is a very comprehensive jet helmet that with its chin piece could even be called a modular helmet, which is more closely related to this jet helmet than the traditional brain bucket.
The outer shell of the X.25 Trace is made of thermoplastic and two of those contain all helmet sizes. This often results in a low-weight and compact motorcycle helmet, which is indeed the case here. The scales tip at about 1.450 grams which isn’t low for a jet helmet but it also demonstrates that this X.25 Trace offers a lot of motorcycle helmet at a sharp price. Lots of surface material – almost the entire sides of your face are covered – and a long visor with an integrated sun visor.
We can skip the chin ventilation, however, we do have top ventilation which you open and close with an easy operable slider, even while on the go. The wind exits the motorcycle helmet in the back. If you take a closer look at the back and at the silhouette of the X.25 Trace, you’ll definitely notice its sporty appearance.
The transparent anti-scratch visor protects your entire face and can be replaced or unhitched without tools. There won’t be an immediate need for replacement thanks to the integrated sun visor, which can be flipped up or down with the slider in the bottom left which is easily located and used with motorcycle gloves. The transparent anti-scratch visor is ready to be fitted with a Pinlock 70 DKS008 lens which has to be ordered separately. What is does is emphasise the versatile nature of this motorcycle helmet.
The interior of this sporty, all-inclusive X.25 Trace jet helmet is antiallergenic, removable and hence, easily maintained. In the pleasantly wide neck rim you will notice the detailed finish we expect from GIVI.
The most practical closure in this type of jet helmets is a micrometric one.
For maintenance of this helmet we recommend S100 helmet and visor cleaner for the outside. For cleaning the interior, without removing it, you can use S100 helmet interior cleaner. New visors have received a water-repellent treatment. This treatment is less effective after some time. Restore the water-repellent effect with Rain-X anti-rain spray.
Safety above all! Never ride with a scratched or dull visor. Especially at night, scratches cause blinding reflections from streetlights and headlights of oncoming vehicles. This effect is even more pronounced in rainy weather. It is best to replace a scratched or dull visor as soon as possible. Planning a longer trip?
