The 11.7 by GIVI is what they call a demi-jet helmet in Italy. It is somewhere between an actual jet helmet and a full-face helmet. More to it than the first, less than the latter, and hence an excellent choice for those who want to link a sense of freedom to sufficient protection.
Three motorcycle helmet shells in STC (thermoplastic) are a serious guarantee for a light and compact motorcycle helmet, even when you want to offer – like GIVI – a very large range of motorcycle helmet sizes. From XS to XXL, there is no way your head won’t find a companion here. The anti-allergenic, removable and washable interior also contributes to create a most comfortable and pleasant situation in each of these cases.
On average, the scale will tip at 1,200 grams, which does reveal that this motorcycle helmet is carrying a little more material than the standard jet helmet. The 11.7 motorcycle helmet really does have a longer design; hence, the separate demi-jet helmet category.
The transparent, scratch-resistant visor follows this wider vision (get it?), which means you get to enjoy a pretty well-rounded face protection. No need to worry when you accidentally turn onto the motorway where you have to go full-throttle for a while – you won’t have to gasp for air. The double top ventilation helps keep your head cool in the meantime.
You close the GIVI 11.7 with a micrometric closure, which is convenient, to size and practical. A summary of the entire 11.7, we’d say. At a sharp price and with the possibility of storing this motorcycle helmet underneath the saddle of most Vespas
For maintenance of this helmet we recommend S100 helmet and visor cleaner for the exterior. For cleaning the interior, without removing it, you can use S100 helmet interior cleaner. New visors have received a water-repellent treatment. This treatment is less effective after some time. Restore the water-repellent effect with Rain-X anti-rain spray.
Safety above all! Never ride with a scratched or dull visor. Especially at night, scratches cause blinding reflections from streetlights and headlights of oncoming vehicles. This effect is even more pronounced in rainy weather. It is best to replace a scratched or dull visor as soon as possible. Planning a longer trip? Then don't forget to take a replacement visor with you. Never ride in the dark with a tinted visor.
