‘Almost’, because a day in the saddle will always be hard work, even with a decent kidney belt. It doesn’t really matter that it has an ergonomic design – like this one – with a padded, removable lining. It does, however, increase the pleasantness of the experience. Your lower back as well as part of your torso will noticeably enjoy the additional support the PE foam and the PU panels in their semi-rigid exoskeleton-like construction deliver.
The double, elasticated waist band can be adjusted to fit tightly and precisely. Velcro does help but the construction itself is solid and this shows. The front flaps also double as extra wind blockers, delivering more than just a support system for all-season riders and commuters. The padded lining also makes sure there’s a pleasant warmth – don’t worry, though, this is removable.
