The Vertical GTX motorcycle trousers by REV’IT! are relatively new but strongly related to the part of the laminated REV’IT collection that has been on par for several years now, with the Trench GTX being the most well-known disciple. These motorcycle trousers are available in long as well as in short versions.
Where the Trench GTX roams the cities, the Vertical GTX needs things to be a little more adventurous. Visually, this shows in the eponymous motorcycle jackets, while the Vertical GTX motorcycle trousers form a perfect supplement in both cases. This means that all options are open. Weather-wise, surface-wise, motorcycle-wise. All-season riders, Sunday trippers, commuters that aren’t afraid of a little adventure, the fact that you can have it all without having to decide earlier than when you’re leaving your driveway, that’s what this is all about.
The Vertical GTX are laminated GORE-TEX motorcycle trousers that – for laminated GORE-TEX motorcycle trousers – are rather welcoming and price-conscious. The exterior consists of 2L and 3L Nylon GORE-TEX, resulting in a light-weight but still outstanding buffer against the elements. Fanatics will recognise a stripe of PWR|Shell stretch material in the waist and some reflective material right above the ankle. The waist is adjustable and a press stud on the lower leg also allows for a little adjustment.
Laminated motorcycle trousers like the Vertical GTX contain the waterproof element in the outer layer, delivering some serious advantages and allowing the Vertical GTX to keep a lot of options open thanks to an unzippable thermal lining. Playing with temperature and comfort levels is dependent of removing or fitting that thermal lining because we didn’t spot any direct ventilation. We suspect that ‘waterproof’ trumps ‘ventilated’ in that hierarchy.
A lot rides on personal preference, the size of your windscreen and the other contents of your wardrobe. Also because the Vertical GTX motorcycle trousers have been standard equipped with SEEFLEX™ Level 2 CE protection on the knees and SEESMART™ Level 1 CE for the hips.
With two slash pockets and a tight design, you are never out of place. If you want, you can add a set of REV’IT! Strapper suspenders to the mix. The combination with the Trench GTX and the Vertical GTX motorcycle jacket is an evident option.
