The KNX10 series disc brake lock with alarm by KOVIX is still adequately compact and with a 10mm-locking pin, this is quite a hefty fellow. The 120 decibels coming from this fluorescent orange little box are more than enough to scare anyone away.
It’s clear that the focus lies on making noise. Getting attention. The built-in alarm (120 decibels is really loud!) will make sure that your neighbour is listening when someone is poking around a little too much. And ‘too much’ isn’t even that much. The alarm signal requires a (supplied) lithium battery that is easily installed thanks to the (also supplied) Allen key.
Thanks to the push-down cylinder, which ensures that the locking pin locks automatically when closed, you can secure your motorcycle or scooter in no time. Pay attention when you engage the alarm, though!
You also get a soft storage bag to effortlessly and safely store everything under the saddle. There are no less than three keys in the packaging, as well as a number to duplicate the keys if needed. That key is only needed to open the disc brake lock.
The casing and the interior are rust-inhibiting and weather-resistant, the cylinder itself is made of stainless steel. KOVIX grants the disc brake locks of the KNX10-series a security rating of 17 out of 20.

Tip of the RAD-house: make it a habit to always attach your brake disc lock to the brake disc of your front wheel. It is much more noticeable for a potential thief (which is okay, a lock always has a dissuasive effect) and the odds are better that you notice it yourself before getting on.
You wouldn’t be the first to take off quickly and end up with a distorted brake disc or a banged-up mudguard.
