Pinlock 70
Pinlock 70 is the second, middle level in the classification of Pinlock when it comes to quality and features. The 70 as well as 30 and 120 (the other two levels) have their origins in lab tests and are not very useful to the rider.
The fact is that Pinlock has succeeded in giving its name to all the extra lenses used in helmets to prevent fogging. When a brand name is widely accepted like that, it says a lot about its quality.
Nowadays, a lot of quality helmets are equipped with the possibility to install Pinlock. This extra lens - slightly smaller than the visor - is made of a special, moisture-absorbing plastic and works like double glazing: silicone sealing on the Pinlock creates an insulating layer of air which prevents fogging of the lens.
Pinlock 70 has better anti-fog properties than the Pinlock 30 and is more specifically designed to fit certain helmets giving an even better result.
