They are somewhere between a motorcycle boot and a motorcycle shoe, about 25 centimetres high, have the stepping comfort of a sneaker and offer the protection of a technically constructed, sporty boot.
The Superfaster motorcycle shoe protects your entire foot and the lower half of your leg. What stand out are the integrated lower shinbone impact protector and especially the new, half-rigid, internal ankle brace system with specific malleolus impact protection (the malleoli are the bones that fracture easiest in the ankle), as does the tight, well-fitting shaft with Achilles’ heel protector, finishing in an elasticated yet solid back part.
There’s additional protection from the double-injected ankle discs, lateral TPR panels on the outside ankle, a reinforced TPU heel cap and a TPR layered toe box. But wait, that’s not all: the sole is provided with the Alpinestars TPF inner sole, consisting of different layers to prevent the foot from twisting or turning in the wrong direction. You easily step into the Superfaster motorcycle shoes by using the full-length zip (inside) which actually supersedes the speed lace system. Or visually, it does. Anyhow, with or without using it, the laces and even the cover flap of about 5 centimetres at the top does not stand in the way of a tight design: even though this is a sporty motorcycle shoe with lots of elements from a sporty motorcycle boot, the Superfaster motorcycle shoe will have no problem sliding into your pant leg.
This comes to the peculiar conclusion that the Superfaster is almost as much a motorcycle sneaker as it is a motorcycle shoe and a motorcycle boot.
