The third version (V3) of the textile motorcycle jacket (T) that you could – almost – wear for a GP race and that at least gives you that racing feeling (R). Well, that’s how we read the name. This results in a waterproof motorcycle racing jacket called T-GP R V3. Made in textile. Ideal for those who don’t want to change their racing style while riding on public roads. Of for everyone wanting to look sharp and sporty on a daily basis.
The T-GP R V3 Drystar® Jacket is derived from the racing sport and is a waterproof, sport textile motorcycle jacket. The innovative stretch materials and the tight silhouette make no effort whatsoever to hide this. If you squint, you might think this is a leather motorcycle jacket, completely equipped with external protectors. But, with a waterproof Drystar® membrane and a removable thermal lining in two layers of thickness: 100 gr PrimaLoft® insulation on the body and 80 gr on the arms. The thermal lining was given a new wrist attachment with a 360-degrees Velcro system and soft velour on the inside of the wrist. Comfort and sportiness go hand in hand here. The direct ventilation openings at the front and the laser perforation on the back can also be categorised here.
Accordion panels on the elbows and shoulders keep all options open with regard to agility. A little bit more comfortable than an actual leather racing suit, in other words. Strategically positioned ventilation openings on the chest that are almost hidden visually but that do illustrate the versatility of this jacket over a leather racing suit.
Two wide slash pockets with zip. A number of inner pockets. Reflective material. Microfibre for added comfort in the collar and sleeve ends. Individual adjustment options by means of press studs in the waist and on the upper arms. Two Velcro strips in the waist.
These could be characteristical of a touring jacket but still, the T-GP R V3 Drystar® by Alpinestars looks like a motorcycle racing jacket. The TPU sliders on the shoulders that are quite prominent and that are a part of the Dynamic Friction Shield are of high quality and the provided space to fit in Nucleon Flex Pro Ci chest protectors and a Nucleon Plasma back protector (level 2 certified) or Nucleon KR-CELLi back protector (level 1 certified) allow for another layer of protection. The Flex Plus CE Level 1 shoulder and elbow protectors come standard.
