The Cult-8 motorcycle jeans by Alpinestars is designed for comfort – according to Alpinestars, that is, and we tend to believe them. Those days where motorcycle jeans trousers were lined with heavy, yellow Kevlar material are long behind us. The Cult-8 motorcycle jeans are in a different category altogether.
For these regular fit motorcycle jeans, Alpinestars uses the mono-layer stretch denim material, which means that they are made of a hardwearing mixture between cotton, polyester and elastane. However, they feel like regular jeans somehow. And the Cult-8 motorcycle jeans look like it, too. The relaxed sitting position is the direct result of the straight trouser legs cut – regular fit is synonymous to easy fit.
For impact protection, Alpinestars went for a level 1 Nucleon Flex Plus knee protector which is flexible and not too thick, never mind hindering or rigid. You can adjust their position inside the pocket. If you want, you can add CE-certified hip protectors too.
The Cult-8 motorcycle jeans may look like traditional jeans, any connoisseur will recognise a light shaping at the knees. The natural position is of course the sitting position on the motorbike. Alpinestars recently visually updated their motorcycle jeans, by refining the stitching and renewing the label at the back.
Besides all that, you still get the traditional jeans pockets: two in the front, two in the back and the characteristical fifth little one. The belt loops, zip and button feel familiar as well.
