Travelling to Bilbao in the Bilbao WP shouldn’t be a problem. We almost tried it ourselves but this isn’t a 100% summer-proof motorcycle glove. Short, yes, flexible and comfortable, definitely, all while being water and windtight at the same time.
Next time we are cruising to the North of Spain in early spring or late fall, the Bilbao WP by Held is what we are taking with us. We’ll even let it take charge of the handlebars. The top consists of stretch fabric with a number of leather accents. Depending on the angle – and if you’re holding the handlebars or not – the design also shows some colour and relief. We wouldn’t call it modern ART but it sure is fun.
The Bilbao WP is a short touring motorcycle glove that can be used almost anywhere anytime. Breathing, windproof and waterproof thanks to the integrated SKINFIT climate membrane means you don’t have to fear any type of weather condition. The visor wiper on the left index finger is a convenient tool while the short and well-padded neoprene cuff acts as a transition from glove to motorcycle jacket. The Velcro strip on the wrist is perfect to finetune the width.
Meanwhile, your hands are clenched tightly around your handlebars, with a near-perfect grip thanks to the goatskin in the palm of the hand. The reinforcements on the ball of the hand consist of foam and are supported by the Armaprotec layer on the sides. The construction of the goatskin and the stretching material creates a flexible and comfortable motorcycle glove without any rigid components: the knuckle protection is more of a knuckle fortification.
