Description

GP Pro R4. The fourth motorcycle gloves in this series that embody ‘performance’ and ‘racing’, and which are the leather personifications of a sporty motorcycle glove. For the heavy petting on track: twisting the throttle. In this fourth version, the new and sharper design is what deserves the most attention.

With ergonomics and a sense of detail that can be called high-level at least, the GP Pro R4 is once again a comfortable motorcycle glove that easily rises way above mediocrity. Kangaroo and goatskin are specific and purposeful choices of materials, with regard to performance as well as protection. This piece of top technology has been tried and tested on MotoGP™ and WSBK circuits and it shows.

First of all, it is those tests that determined that the GP Pro R4 motorcycle gloves were to be equipped with the exclusive DFS or Dynamic Friction Shield: external protectors that have just about mastered air flow, ventilation and Aramid reinforcements. You can find them on three fingertips, for instance. It cannot be denied that these are pure motorcycle racing gloves, with an innovative design that can be used in aerodynamics classes just like that.

If you go fast, you want to do so safely and comfortably. For that reason, seams are on the outside. Also with regard to comfort: the relatively long sleeve cover, the leather accordion inserts on fingers, thumb and the back of the hand, and the ergonomic stretch panels on the palm of the hand. Each separately but definitely coming together as a whole, this delivers a glove that focuses on preventing early fatigue. Let’s not forget to mention these safety properties: rigid knuckle protector, hard TPU finger protection, double closure, the Dynamic Friction Shield and the palm slider are what seem to be most apparent. The leather comes from goat and kangaroo, with each specific feature used in the most ideal position. There’s the finger bridge between little finger and ring finger, plus the Aramid that apart from being visually present has also been integrated internally in many other places.

All these features combined take this Alpinestars GP Pro R4 to the top. Let’s not forget: the GP Pro R4 is a CE certified motorcycle glove – which you already suspected.
