The family tree this Stella T-GP Plus R V4 is attached to, is starting to become quite complex. The ‘tree trunk’ being the GP Plus – a leather top sports motorcycle jacket – with this textile version (T) for ladies (Stella) being one of its descendants. Material that has been tested on track in the field of performance and protection usually delivers extraordinary results on public roads as well.
The Stella T-GP Plus R V4 has been specifically designed to fit the female anatomy. More specifically: for females who love speed and who with slightly bent arms position themselves in sporting mode on their speed bikes. It does benefit riding performances but before you roll up to a starting light: the (newly designed) removable thermal lining and the soft protectors demonstrate that their real playing field is more likely to be the public roads. The use of 450D multi-textile with 600D reinforcements in the right places supports that thesis. The ergonomically placed stretch material plays a rather important role as well.
The removable lining looks neat and there’s a sleeveless bodywarmer that keeps you comfortable during your ride without hindering your movements. Under the arms, in the sides of the torso the ventilation zips offer riding wind a way in.
CE certified internal protectors on elbows and shoulders come standard and are removable. ‘Nucleon Flex Plus Armor’ is what Alpinestars’ choice is called, which is very flexible, thin, light and comfortable. The DFS Lite slider on each shoulder accentuates the sporty origins of the Stella T-GP Plus R V4. The Nucleon Plasma back protector (level 2 certified) or Nucleon KR-CELLi back protector (level 1 certified) is optional and can be integrated easily and swiftly, as are the optional chest protectors.
The sporty style combined with a couple of pockets and reflective material delivers an enjoyable result.
The combination with a good pair of motorcycle jeans is obvious. Hence the Belt Loop.
The Stella T-GP Plus R V4 is ready to integrate the Tech-Air® 5 and Stella Tech-Air® 3 airbag systems.
