The new Croydon H2O is a relatively short motorcycle glove that stands out thanks to its low weight, a thin but definitely existent lining, waterproof properties and a sharp price in order to get a hold of all this goodness.
Don’t go looking for bells and whistles: REV’IT! omitted them. This is the essence, and at a high level. The TPR soft knuckle protector is very clearly present, providing this Croydon H2O with a face. The lining is not as dense as in actual winter motorcycle gloves but it’s not completely absent either. We guarantee that this – thank you, heated grips – will take you far.
On top of that, a mixture of on the one hand a Hydratex® Z-liner and on the other a wear-resistant exterior creates the perfect buffer against anything a dreary ride could bring. It’s the wear-resistant 600D-polyester and the Ottoman stretch material that provide sturdiness yet also flexibility and comfort. We mentioned the TPU knuckle protector before and there’s an honourable mention for the EVA foam in the palm of the hand, that is part of the PWR|shield. The latter is just like the name suggests, a complete structure and construction of the palm, offering protection like a shield when needed.
The visor wiper is of the kind often used by REV’IT! and with our first pair of motorcycle gloves that were equipped with this, we ‘looked’ for it for about a month. The material between the tip of the index finger and the tip of the thumb – that L shape – has Flock PU and it easily cleans your visor without the use of hard components. Better for your visor and as effective as a regular visor wiper.
Also present: touchscreen-sensitive material on the fingertips and (laminated) reflective strips.
The cuff – with lining all the way up to the end – was labelled ‘short’ by REV’IT!, even though it effortlessly reaches the ends of your motorcycle jacket’s sleeves. Unless you are dealing with wrong sizes and/or remarkably long arms. A Velcro strip allows proper closure of the Croydon H2O motorcycle gloves.
The Croydon H2O as a number of features that turn it into a pretty universal motorcycle glove. This makes them very versatile.
