It looks tight and sporty, this Control Air H2O motorcycle jacket, which isn’t by accident at all. Its name suggests that a link with the one-piece Control motorcycle suit isn’t too far off, which is absolutely true.
At the same time, the functions of a very good mesh jacket and those of a one-piece motorcycle suit couldn’t be further apart. It is not an interchangeable combination, yet, it’s a enriching supplement. On its own, it’s also just a very good mesh motorcycle jacket, period.
The Control Air H2O motorcycle jacket is available in a variety of colours, and in mens’ versions.
The name Control Air H2O bears air as well as water, which should ring a bell. A 2-in-1 mesh jacket with a removable, waterproof membrane. The exterior is made of PWR|SHELL which is 2/3 mesh. It’s quite clear that wind will be able to provide the necessary cooling. In the back, the same structure and construction is upheld, which results in an outer shell that is actually one large ventilation panel with wear and tear-resistant properties. One whose look & feel really reminds us of the racing world. It seems apparent that – given its main purpose – it is slightly more comfortable and a tad ‘softer’ than you would expect from a pedigree leather motorcycle racing suit.
Velcro in the waist and the sleeve ends, an external TPU shoulder slider that is not hard as rocks, hence, mostly visually functional and a couple of slash pockets with zips increase the Control Air H2O motorcycle jacket’s level of cuddliness. You could say the same of the removable Hydratex® 2L membrane, which does have a direct impact on usability: a mesh jacket is leak like a sieve; a decent waterproof membrane opens up possibilities and creates piece of mind.
Impact protection is on par. You won’t hear us complaining with standard integrated SEESMART™ CE-level 1 shoulder and elbow protectors. Should you want to, you could fit in an optional SEESOFT™ RV or SEESOFT™ Air CE-level 2 back protector. This jacket is made ready for that. The result is a safety class AA which is more than decent for a mesh motorcycle jacket that – let’s be honest – you only wear when really you’d rather leave without wearing a jacket. But then again, that is never a good idea and when there are good-looking mesh motorcycle jackets like the Control Air H2O around, that idea should never come to mind again.
Logic (and circumstances) make us look in the direction of higher quality motorcycle jeans pants as a combination option. Another possibility is every other pair of REV’IT! motorcycle pants.
