The Xena 4 Lady one-piece suit is a full-blown and high-quality motorcycle suit for lady bikers. Moreover, this is a serious evolution compared to previous Xena racing suits. Everything shows that. Everything? Everything!
Let’s get back to the day that REV’IT! welcomed the Italian Vircos to the group. They apparently – which isn’t all that incidentally as this sentence might suggest – had had one speciality for a quarter of a century: delivering custom-made motorcycle racing suits. The guys and girls at REV’IT! figured, ‘let’s see what happens when we give our Xena 3 one-piece suit to our new Italian friends without any instructions’, and not too long after that, this Xena 4 Lady one-piece suit popped out.
It seems that a number of professional motorcycle racing suit fanatics and tailors were able to turn something that was already very good into something even better.
The end result is – among other things – an improved fit, Tech-Air® compatibility and a safety class that takes a leap from A to, brace yourself, AAA. Well, I guess this means that you turned a sporty-looking onesie into a full-blown one-piece suit, right? This absolutely full-blown and high-quality motorcycle racing suit also keeps everything on board that REV’IT! has to offer in their rich arsenal. The exterior is a combination of cowhide (partially perforated) PWR|SHELL stretch material, 3D-mesh and a smidgen of neoprene. Cleverly connected, this delivers a motorcycle racing suit that allows you to move freely and flexibly (remember that it’s still a one-piece racing suit!), that guarantees a lot of protection without cooking your body. The neoprene in the collar offers a level of comfort.
If you look any further, that’s when things get fun. What about the synthetic inserts on the inside of the knee that provide additional grip to your tank? Or the extra zips at the bottom that allows even huskier calves to feel comfortable? Or the cuff that grips your motorcycle gloves, and the removable and washable mesh liner? There’s also a hump that can contain a camelbag and we are also a fan of the area behind the central zip where you can apply your name and blood type.
REV’IT! suspects that this is the first motorcycle racing suit for women that will deliver some serious sporty performances, or what else should we make of the first replaceable elbow sliders? Up to now, that was a privilege of only men’s motorcycle racing suits and it’s a good thing we jumped that hurdle. As if women aren’t capable of sliding their elbows into the tarmac. Low and hard, like it should.
What else do fast women need? Impact protection probably, which borders the impossible. On the exterior, you can’t miss the standard knee, shoulder and elbow sliders. Like we said before: this is meant to go fast and even faster. To tickle curbstones and defy the laws of gravity. That you are looking phenomenally sharp in the process, almost comes as an afterthought. It’s a bonus, but not the main thing because we were discussing protective material. SEESMART CE-level 1 protectors on the hips (RV30-L1-B) come standard, just like the BETAC CE-level 1 protectors underneath the sliders on the knees, shoulders and elbows. If that doesn’t suffice: the Xena 4 one-piece is ready to be fitted with an optional SEESOFT™ RV of SEESOFT™ Air CE-level 2 back protector and chest protectors. Notice how placing the knee sliders allows for a little play thanks to the Velcro area being slightly larger than the slider. This inadvertently reminds us again of a tailored job.
Nice, is what we call it. Razor sharp. Da bomb. The Xena 4 Lady one-piece suit aced it. Not only the ace, the whole deck of cards!
