Including ‘Tarmac’ in the name can go one of two ways. Staying off of it or taking it on. In any case, the Cargo 2 TF Tarmac is ready for both, we’d say.
In this most recent pair of motorcycle cargo trousers, REV’IT! comes closest to ‘regular’ cargo pants, in terms of looks and comfort. You are wearing one single layer of fabric, but you do benefit from the A safety class. The materials are now more hard-wearing than ever before, which means that there is no need for six layers of fabric to guarantee safety – one single sturdy base layer and that’s it. In this specific case, these new materials are ’13.5 oz. stretch’: wear-resistant, sturdy and very comfortable too.
These Cargo 2 TF Tarmac motorcycle cargo trousers have a tapered fit, which means they should fit tightly at the bottom. Take a look at the details: the colour of the rivet button in the corner of the right slash pocket and the REV’IT! logo on the inside of the central button exposes the CE certification of these motorcycle trousers. Red means class AAA (the class of leather suits), blue gets you AA (which is the case here) and black warrants class A safety. Other remarkable elements are the pockets, that shared their names with this specific type of motorcycle trousers. With two decent push studs and the folded flap, they are solid and can reliably hold a thing or two.
The height-adjustable knee protectors are SEESMART CE-level 1. Sleek and tight, and more preshaped than anything REV’IT! used before. Every pair of modern motorcycle cargo trousers and its wearer benefit from a better shaped protector. Undoubtedly when – like here – they are well-ventilated and seamlessly integrated into the motorcycle cargo trousers of this REV’IT! generation. Protectors like these ones are customised, with a left and right version. Hip protectors are optional and can be bought separately.
The Cargo 2 TF Tarmac is a safety as well as a style choice. The seams have been reinforced where useful and the reflective stripe that’s only visible when you flip over the bottom of the trouser leg has been one of our favourites for quite some time now.
Using the Safeway 2-belt, these jeans can be zipped to your favorite REV'IT! jacket.
